HAZMAT General Awareness Training (certificate received for general awareness functions only)

This webinar is designed to bring a general awareness to some common items that frequently move through the transportation system that may not seem to present any danger, but are actually regulated as hazardous materials by the federal government, as well as other international regulatory agencies (IATA, IMO, etc.).

The shippers of chemicals and other obvious hazardous materials are not always the only ones regulated by the myriad of hazmat/dangerous goods regulations (both nationally and internationally).  Did you know that if you ship audio and other electronic equipment, you could be violating the dangerous goods/hazmat regulations?  Or, did you know that if you ship any type of lithium battery, there is a very specific way that these batteries must be shipped, in order to avoid violation of the regulations?

This webinar will identify the nine different classes of dangerous goods, and an awareness of the package markings and labels that would be on a hazmat/dangerous goods package.  Identification of the different modes of transport and their associated regulations will be included in this review.  This webinar will also include awareness to proper shipping of lithium batteries…the hottest topic in transportation these days. The training requirements for shippers and forwarders will be identified.

Each participant will receive a certificate of completion of “Dangerous Goods/Hazmat Awareness Training” which will meet your proof of awareness training.

C-TPAT Revalidation

This webinar is not just for those companies who have been notified by U.S. CBP that a re-validation is being planned, this is for any CTPAT certified company.  It is always better to understand the preparation of the revalidation process in advance of receiving your notice of re-validation.

It is of much value to understand the revalidation process prior to the need to prepare for the actual visit.  It will greatly reduce the stress that can be related to this process.  Prior knowledge to the revalidation process will also allow your presentation to CBP to be top notch and well prepared.
