Who Should Attend Individuals who are shippers, packers, freight forwarders, security screeners, and all those who directly or indirectly affect the transportation of hazardous materials or dangerous goods.
Course Summary

American River / The World Academy is a recognized IATA Endorsed Dangerous Goods Training School. The Dangerous Goods/Hazmat Training being offered is for professionals who directly or indirectly affect the transportation of dangerous goods or hazardous materials.

The training course includes:

  • How to navigate the regulations
  • Understand the differences between different modes and different regulations
  • Develop additional resource capabilities
  • General requirements for shippers, forwarders, and others who effect transport of hazardous materials/dangerous goods in transportation.
  • Develop the necessary skill set to classify, package, mark, label, placard and document a hazardous materials/dangerous goods shipment.
  • Open forum/discussion
  • Obtain the necessary documentation to meet your hazmat record-keeping requirements as mandated by the U.S. DOT

Payment Dangerous Goods - Air        $675.00 -- per student

Includes all materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Payment due 2 weeks in advance of class. Cancellations received more than 2 weeks prior to the class will be fully refundable. Cancellations received 2 weeks or less prior to the class will result in a credit for a future class - valid for one year. Check or major credit card.
Materials

Each participant is required to have a current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods by Air. You may bring your own regulations, or you may request a rental of the regulations at the time of registration. The rental fee for each regulation book is $50.00 per person. The rental set needs to be left with the instructor at the end of the class.

Course workbook with examples, and sample test questions is included in the course price.

Each participant will also receive:

  • Copy of the U.S. DOT CD-Rom regarding Hazmat Security which will meet the U.S. requirement of Security Awareness Training.
  • Future access to the instructor for any personal questions or issues that arise during your normal business day.
